New Faculty/Scholar Workshop
Every Wednesday from 3:45 p.m.-5:00p.m. the Center provides an orientation program with information for newly-arrived professors and research scholars holding any of the following nonimmigrant statuses: J-1, H-1B or F-1 authorized for Optional Practical Training (OPT).

The workshop is required for all new nonimmigrant faculty and scholars on Rutgers's visa sponsorship. The sponsoring department must contact the Center to sign up visitor.

The workshop is held in the lounge of the Center at 180 College Ave. Attendees must bring to the workshop their passport, their immigration documents and their appointment letter from Rutgers. Attendees are asked to enter the Center from the Richardson St. (side) entrance of the building, since the Center is otherwise closed on Wednesdays, and the front door is locked.
