Walk-in hours
Walk-ins are appropriate for basic information, quick questions, required signatures, or emergency problem solving and are limited to 10 minutes. To meet your assigned adviser during walk-ins, come to the Center during your adviser's scheduled walk-in hours and sign in at the front desk. There is no advance sign up for walk-ins as walk-ins are seen on a "first-come first-served" basis. Due to time constraints, advisers can accommodate a maximum of 15 students per walk-in session. This means you may arrive 20 minutes after walk-ins commence, but if you're the 16th person, you will not be seen that day.
Appointments
An appointment with your international student adviser must be scheduled in advance by calling the Center at 732-932-7015. Same day appointments cannot be accommodated. Appointments are set in 1/2 hour or 1 hour increments, depending on your situation. Matters such as change of status, reinstatement of status, dealing with probation or dismissal and resolution of personal issues usually require an appointment.
