Workshop Descriptions

SEVIS Workshop: Covers regulations and procedures for complying with the requirements of INS's Student/Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). For F-1, F-2, J-1 and J-2 visa holders.

Off-Campus-Employment: covers ONLY off-campus work PRIOR TO completion of studies; includes curricular practical training, pre-completion optional practical training, and employment based on severe economic hardship

Post Graduate Employment: covers practical training following completion of studies

On-Campus-Employment: covers forms and authorizations necessary for F-1 and J-1 students to work on campus

Faculty/Scholar Workshop: covers forms and authorizations necessary for J-1 scholars and H-1B employees to work on campus

Change of Status to F-1 Workshop: forms, instructions and detailed procedures on applying to change to F-1 from any other nonimmigrant status while in the U.S.

Bringing Dependents to the U.S.: covers procedures and issues related to bringing spouse and children to the U.S. on dependent visas

Travel Documentation Workshop: this workshop provides the latest information on what documents you should have with you when traveling abroad (for F, J and H visa holders) and on current visa application delays and issues.
